Tour Highlights

Aveiro

If the human presence in Aveiro dates back, at least, to recent Prehistory, evident in the mounds and dolmens existing not only in the municipality but throughout the region, its great development would appear in a historical period.

Always linked to economic activities, Aveiro had its added value in the production of salt and naval trade.

Moliceiro ride in Ria de Aveiro

Slim and colourful, painted on the bow and stern with traditional designs in bright colours that invoke historical facts or popular devotion, the moliceiros travel along the Ria showing the other side of the city of Aveiro.
The Ria de Aveiro is 45 km long and the Vouga River is one of its main tributaries.

Coimbra University

Living testimony of the best that Portugal has to offer in the fields of science, arts, technique and culture, the University of Coimbra reflects seven centuries of Portuguese history.
Those who visit Coimbra cannot fail to observe the richness of the buildings that make up its space, to which is added the secular academic tradition and the unique dynamism of the institution in the permanent search for improvement to make this the most renowned university city in the country and one of the main tourist destinations in Portugal.

Tomar

An entire past witnessed by the remains of the Knights Templar and their entire history, with strong references in this territory, make those most passionate or even curious about the subject, immerse themselves in the fascination of discovering and visiting the spaces that date back to that time.
